Nick Baldwin, Chair of the Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR), welcomes Penny Boys CB to the ONR Board following her recent appointment by the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions as a Non-Executive Director. Her appointment will commence on 1 March 2016 and will end on 31 January 2020.
Penny brings to the Board a wide range of experience and expertise from a long career in public service, both at official and Non-Executive Board member level, including an eight year period as one of the first Non-Executive Directors of the water regulator, Ofwat. As a Senior Civil Servant, Penny served in several Departments including the former Departments of Energy, Trade and Industry as well as independent regulators and competition authorities.
