ONR has confirmed that Devonport Royal Dockyard Limited (DRDL) has complied with two Improvement Notices served in August 2017.
ONR issued two Improvement Notices to DRDL in August 2017 following several crane-related events on the 9 dock facility between May and July 2017. The Improvement Notices related to the control and maintenance of crane activities. DRDL was required to address the shortfalls cited in the Improvement Notices by 1 December 2017, however this was extended by a period of three weeks to enable DRDL to test implementation of the improvements fully.
DRDL has now completed the improvements necessary and addressed the requirements satisfactorily and ONR has closed the Improvement Notices.
