Talking with you

Katie Day, Policy and Communications Director

We’ve had a busy few months preparing some of our key publications. Alongside our Strategy 2020-25, we published our annual Corporate Plan which sets out our priorities for 2020/21, and explains how we have adapted our plans in light of COVID-19.

We’ve also published: our fourth Gender Pay Report, which illustrates what we are doing to close the gap at ONR; and our quarterly Statement of Civil Incidents covering October to December 2019. Meanwhile the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy published its response to the International Atomic Energy Agency’s (IAEA) final report on the Integrated Regulatory Review Service (IRRS) mission to the UK. We have already agreed the actions we will take in response to the recommendations for ONR, and we will update you on progress.

Looking to the autumn, we will publish our ’Approach to innovation’ to outline how we support and enable innovation, while maintaining high standards of safety and security. You can also expect to see our new Stakeholder Engagement Strategy setting out how we intend to excel in communications and engagement; and our Chief Nuclear Inspector’s Annual Report will be available. Keep an eye on social media or our website for more details!

You can find out more about what we are doing by following us on Twitter @The_ONR and LinkedIn.

As an independent regulator, it is essential we listen to diverse views and perspectives, so we continue to welcome your feedback on our publications and other communications. So if you have views you’d like to share, please email us: contact@onr.gov.uk.
