The Office for Nuclear Regulation is holding a formal three-month consultation period to provide an opportunity for interested parties to comment on the application, by Imperial College, to begin decommissioning of the research reactor known as CONSORT, at the Imperial College Silwood Park campus near Ascot in Berkshire.
Consultees are invited to comment upon any aspect of the decommissioning project, particularly the environmental impact statement.
This consultation will close on 28 April 2015 and ONR’s decision report is expected in the summer.
