The Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR) has today published a new research strategy to support its independent regulatory decision making.
The strategic approach is intended to ensure that ONR has continued access to the latest independent scientific and technical expertise, and support its goal of being an exemplary regulator.
Alongside the strategy, ONR is currently creating a new regulatory research register which is due to be published in the autumn.
ONR will also publish an annual research update to confirm and summarise the work completed. This evaluation and publication process will ensure research generates useful outputs and is disseminated to maximise the potential benefits.
