Austin Wilkinson & Sons Ltd of Atherton, Greater Manchester has met the requirements of an Improvement Notice served by ONR in July 2015, and later extended to 11 November 2015.
The notice required Austin Wilkinson & Sons to prepare a written emergency plan that would detail its actions should an emergency arise whilst transporting radioactive materials (Class 7 goods) by road. ONR is now satisfied that a suitable plan is in place.
ONR regulates the transport of radioactive materials within Great Britain under the Carriage of Dangerous Goods and Use of Transportable Pressure Equipment Regulations 2009.
