Forbes Transport Services Ltd of Dyce, Aberdeen took appropriate action to comply with an Improvement Notice (IN) ahead of the compliance date of 16 December 2015.The IN related to the fact that this organisation did not have a written emergency plan in place ahead of transporting radioactive material, and was served following a transport compliance inspection in August 2015.
ONR regulates the transport of radioactive material within Great Britain under The Carriage of Dangerous Goods and Use of Transportable Pressure Equipment Regulations 2009 (CDG). Regulation 24 refers to the need for emergency plans.
