The ONR Board is pleased to confirm that Adriènne Kelbie has agreed a three-year contract extension as Chief Executive, taking her term of employment to January 2022.
The decision recognises the significant progress ONR has made under Adriènne’s leadership towards its 2020 vision to be an exemplary regulator that inspires respect, trust and confidence. Her focus on staff and stakeholder engagement, organisational development and vision for a cohesive ONR have underpinned many changes since she joined in 2016.
ONR Chair Nick Baldwin said: "I am personally delighted that Adriènne has made this commitment to ONR. This brings stability and continuity as we deliver our mission to provide efficient and effective regulation of the nuclear industry, holding it to account on behalf of the public, whilst delivering an ambitious modernisation programme and building our capacity and capability to ensure we are fit for the future.
