Urenco UK has complied with an ONR Enforcement Notice that was issued in December 2019.
The notice was served under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 regulations after an inspection by ONR revealed shortfalls with the fire alarm and detection systems in a facility on the Capenhurst Works licensed nuclear site in Cheshire.
After a number of months of regulatory scrutiny, ONR is now satisfied that Urenco UK has made the required improvements to the fire alarm and detection systems at the facility.
