Key findings, inspector’s opinions and reasons for judgement made
The compliance inspection was initiated following the receipt of a notification from the transport UK/European movement officer regarding the transport of category III nuclear material UN3329, a type B(M)F package, on 13/03/2023. The inspection was to examine the adequacy of the arrangements of this radioactive material shipment from Magnox’s Harwell site (consignor) to Sellafield (carrier and consignee), from both the transport safety and security perspective. No major shortfalls were identified during the inspection from a transport safety perspective and the overall inspection rating was green. Please refer to IR-11038 for transport security inspection outcomes.
Based the evidence provided during the inspection, I judged the overall inspection rating is “Green”.
